Kinesiology

The aim of a Kinesiology session is to help restore balance to your body.

Kinesiologists do not diagnose, nor do they treat named diseases. Your Kinesiologist identifies imbalances in your body’s structural, chemical, emotional or other energy through muscle response testing, and use further feedback from your body to determine which techniques are indicated to help restore balance. These techniques may include holding or massaging reflex points, gentle muscle manipulation, nutritional assessment, clearing meridians, emotional stress release, affirmations, mindfulness exercises, adrenal support, or other processes as indicated by your body.

Kinesiology may help in a whole range of situations including:

  • Pain, both acute and prolonged
  • Stress, anxiety, depression
  • Ongoing health concerns
  • Life transitions
  • Digestive issues
  • Sleep difficulties
  • Women’s health
  • Children’s health
  • Behavioural issues
  • Career progression
  • General wellbeing
  • Goal setting
  • Sensitivities
  • Vitality

And many more

A consultation typically lasts for one hour, during which time you will remain fully clothed. Because a variety of muscles, including those of the leg, are tested, I suggest you wear comfortable shorts or trousers rather than a dress or skirt.

A detailed history is taken on your first visit as well as information about the condition you are hoping to improve. We will set a goal for the session and proceed with muscle testing and indicated techniques to work towards your goal. No two kinesiology consultations are the same and one person coming in with digestive issues will need an entirely different approach to another.

Clients often report change after just one consultation, however I suggest that you undertake at least 3 sessions to fully invest in yourself and explore the condition you are working to improve.
